Eric H. Weinberger Award for Emerging Librettists (Amas Musical Theatre - NYC, NY) What: "Cash and production grant given annually to support the early work and career of a deserving musical theatre librettist. The winner will receive $2,000 to help with cost-of-living expenses. The winning musical will receive development assistance in the 2021 New Works Development Program of Amas Musical Theatre, culminating in an Amas Lab production with New York theatre professionals." Ensemble Studio Theatre New Play Commissions (EST - NYC, NY) What: "The EST/Sloan Project commissions, develops and presents new works delving into how we view and are affected by the scientific world. These plays examine the struggles and challenges scientists and engineers face from moral issues to the consequences of their discoveries." KCACTF Awards (The Kennedy Center - Washington, DC) What: "The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival National Playwriting Program is dedicated to supporting student playwrights in the development of their original work for the stage, with dramaturgical and performance opportunities that emphasize respect of the written word and for the playwright’s contribution to the theatrical process." Robert J. Pickering Award for Playwriting Excellence (Branch County Community Theatre - Coldwater, MI) What: This annual award was established to honor past member and playwright, Bob Pickering, and to provide a vehicle for playwrights to see their works produced. Over 30 plays have been produced over since 1984. In 2020, the award was renamed to also honor longtime BCCT member and Pickering director, J.R. Stage to Screen New Work Development (Morgan Hill Playhouse - Morgan Hill, CA)
What: "This program chooses TWO of the best of hundreds of submissions each year, stages those plays as elevated workshop productions at the Morgan Hill Playhouse in beautiful California, then films the productions and streams them on-line on a pay-per-view basis."

ChaNorth Residency (ChaShaMa - Hudson Valley, NY)
What: "With the mission to support artistic dialogue, ChaNorth provides emerging and mid-career artists an inclusive environment that fosters cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas, perspectives and expertise. Each month-long session has five to seven artists, which ChaNorth curates with the aim of creating small, dynamic, diverse, interactive groups. Artists are selected based on the quality and commitment to their work and their project description."
